And 10 seconds later
You are out for a pleasant evening with friends pretty comfortable in the knowledge that everything is OK back at your unattended home – you have a newly installed front door with a lock that the salesman advised was pretty good – your back patio doors also fitted by the same company with the same assurances. The only entry to the back garden is via a side gate which is always locked (or is it?) and the garden is surrounded by a mixture of a 6 ft. high wall or fence.
Oh and let’s not forget the alarm you did switch it on didn’t you
So, you think your pretty secure
And 10 seconds later – well you’re not – the burglar is in – a couple of minutes later he is out with your valuables – if you’re lucky there will be no damage or mess – if you’re unlucky well you’re unlucky and the cleaning up is never fun.
Statistics suggest that 90% of properties are vulnerable, 70% of break ins occur through the front door lock snapping or bumping accounts for some 35% plus of burglaries in some areas. As if to rub salt into the wound you should also know that there are literally thousands of videos on “U”Tube or the like showing just how easy it is to snap a lock.
So let’s run the scenario again to see what Eurosecure which is a GFD Group company can do to help – and as we sell and or install in excess of 4000 doors per year through our other companies Timber Composite Doors, Global Door, Fusion Door, Composite Door Prices we have a pretty good idea what is required to make your home secure.
Starting with the garden – of course no-one would climb over a 6 ft. wall or fence -WRONG of course they would – the easy way to stop them is a very simple and cheap product – Hedgehog spikes – short sections of UPVC strips with three rows of 18mm conical spikes which are easily secured to your fence or wall –
All the information you will need is on the Hedgehog Spikes web page
Garden walls and fences secure what about the gate – bolted – yes – padlocked no but of course there are Padlocks that can be forced with a nail file and then there are those guaranteed to keep anyone out – they are not cheap but neither is the loss of your valuables check out our Padlocks they will keep your gate secure.
Before we leave the garden the Patio Doors yes they have a nice new lock that probably is secure – but Patio doors are the easiest to force on any property unless of course you fit a Eurosecure Patlock it looks and it is good simple to operate and the best visual deterrent you may possibly ever purchase and most important it works a treat because once installed it cannot be forced.
Now for that new front door – it may well have a good lock but is it a “3Star Diamond Sold Secure lock” – probably not because this is the highest category of domestic lock. There is a new lock “the Ultion” which is causing a considerable stir in the Doors and locks market so much so that a number of manufacturers are now adopting it as a standard fitment on their doors – it’s pretty distinctive so you will easily know if you have one –
If your current lock is not stamped Ultion with three stars and a kite mark – it is not an Ultion and if you want that added security that this quality of lock brings, we would suggest a visit to our web site to place your order as soon as possible.
That’s dealt with everything except the alarm – we all have them and yes they can be a deterrent if they go off – but not generally for a long enough period to stop the burglar taking what he wants – after all your alarm may sound but does anyone come to investigate when it does so?
And 10 seconds later– or maybe slightly more will be all it will take you to log into the Eurosecure web site where you will find a veritable treasure trove of options to improve the security of your home.
You choose – 10 seconds to visit our web site of 10 seconds to suffer the misery of a break in.
